AFMF Billboard and Poster Design Project
50 Points Each
DUE: 2/12/2016
This will be the sixth year the Graphic Design class has worked with the Allison Fifield Memorial Foundation to create billboards to raise local awareness about safe driving habits. Each student will create a billboard that will be presented to the AFMF selection committee. They will select a few designs that will be made in to 16x20' billboards. Paul Fifield will come to speak to our class about this project and share his ideas and vision for the project.
The second part of this project is also about driving safety and will also provide an opportunity for your work to be publicly displayed. The Montana Drivers Services department would like students to design a poster that will be displayed in their offices. These posters will be viewed by the public when they take drivers license tests or get licenses renewed. You can unify your poster and billboard designs by using similar colors, fonts, and image styles.
Both of these projects will be on public display. You will need to make sure any images or fonts you use have the proper creative commons licenses. When you search for images use the Advanced Search function and only use images that are marked specifically with fair use, free to use, modify or adapt, even commercially.
