We are about to kick off the spring semester in Graphic Design 2! I am super pumped to see what you crank out this semester. It is going to be a wild ride and I hope you are getting your creative button pushing and mouse clicking (and a little dragging) juices flowing.

The first thing you will do in this class is create your own website.  You will use this website to practice your design skills and display your work. Today you will create an account with weebly. It is a super easy to use online web creation service that takes the mystery out of making websites.  It really is a piece of cake.  

When you create your domain name or web address follow these guidelines:

• Do not use your last name
  
• Do use letters (avoid using capitals, numbers, symbols, underscores, spaces etc.)
  
• Keep your domain short and easy to remember

After you create an account you will set up a few pages.  You will build your website similar to the example website here. 
You will create three pages:

• Projects
  
• Blog
  
• About Me

Alright, you have made it almost to the end of Graphic Design 1. In the next few weeks you will work on one last project. The last project will give you an introduction to working with type and how to incorporate it into a design of your choice.

Also during the last few weeks you will want to submit all of your assignments you wish to receive credit. If you have earned a 59% for any project then you should turn in the project to improve your grade.  Before you submit any project make sure you review the project requirements and specifications. It would also help if you familiarize yourself with the rubric for each project.

Place all late, missing, or projects to resubmit into the Resubmit Folder on the server. Once you have done this make sure you send an email to glacierhighart at gmail dot com.  In your email write your name and which projects you have turned in. Make sure each of your projects is properly titled according to the names listed on each assignment descript

The last day I will accept any late, missing, or resubmitted projects is January 13th.
