Last week we explored what you know about Graphic Design. This week we will continue to explore graphic design while learning some of the basic functions and features of a Mac. This week you will learn how to navigate the Mac, use the Finder, adjust System Preferences, manage downloads, create folders, change file names, understand file extensions, launch applications, navigate the web using Safari, and use advanced search features of Google Images.
You will learn these functions by searching the web for images dealing with different types of graphic design. You will create a folder titled "YourFirstName.GD1Intro." Inside of this folder you will create other folders with the following titles:
You will search for three images to represent each area of graphic design. Place your images into the appropriate folders. Search for medium or large images. Before the end of the period you will save your folder and images to your folder on the GHS server.
