Graphic Design 2: Free Choice Project
Due Date: June 3, 2016
This project will provide the opportunity to create a project of your choice. This is your chance to do what you desire to do the most. This is your chance to showcase your skills, create the project you have always wanted to do, or experiment with Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other program and find out what happens. This project will draw on skills you have picked up throughout the course and you will incorporate them into this project.
You will create a graphic design oriented project (something that incorporates images and type to convey a message). During this project you will learn some new technique that is interesting to you and incorporate it into your project. You could search for a tutorial to follow or learn your new technique by searching the web. Use this new technique in your project to show you have learned something new to you.
You can create a project using Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash or any combination of some of these programs. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills or also take some risks by trying out something new to you.
Before you begin:
Brainstorm and research first. Look at the resources below for ideas on what you can create. Visit VectorTuts.com or PSDTuts.com to get some ideas. Look through several tutorials to see what looks interesting to you. Develop your own project based on some techniques you have learned from a tutorial. Find something that interests you and this project will be much more exciting for you.
Make a proposal for your project:
Create a project proposal before you begin working on your project. Mr. Hanson will review your project and be able to offer suggestions of places to look for ideas or help you to develop your project so you can break it down into manageable parts. Make a plan for your project before you start working so that you can complete it on time. Decide what you want to create first and then figure out how to accomplish your project. Develop a schedule or timeframe so that you can complete your project when it is due. Before you begin working on the computer review your project with Mr. Hanson.
