The info graphic is a way to deliver statistical information to your viewers in a visual way that creates an engaging and insightful experience. You may have seen them around and if you have discovered a well designed info graphic you maybe have learned a thing or two or better understand a concept.
Info graphics typically take some complex or tedious details and simplify the information into a graphically organized format that helps a person to better understand and make connections between related facts.
The Objectives:
By the end of this project, students will:
- Be able to organize a complex concept into something that is easier to understand by someone who may be unfamiliar with the concept.
- Learn to organize information into an easy to follow and understand info graphic.
- Develop a unified design using color, type, scale, emphasis, alignment, and balance.

File Specifications: File Type: Submit a .JPG of your final design. The Image Size: 10" x 30" ( It can be shorter if you wish) Resolution: 300 dpi Color Format: RGB File Name: LastName.infographic.jpg |
Grading Rubric
A: You gave it your all and it shows! You have earned an A. You did all the requirements for the assignment. You put in a second, third, or fourth effort and it is your best work. Nothing needs to be changed. Clearly evident you took full advantage of all learning materials offered. You spent the entire work time on task with out being distracted by your phone, the Internet, or other things that cut into your creative process.
B: Great, but...: You did the work and used instructions from lectures, websites and/or video tutorials. The project is not perfect yet but can be corrected. You are satisfied design flaws in your final project. You did not meet all the requirements of the project.
C: Average work: You did the assignment but did not use instruction provided by the website or tutorials. No second effort, the first attempt is final product. You did not complete the project prior to the due date. You regularly are absent during the process or are distracted by your phone while you should be working.
D: Bare Minimum: You just barely completed this assignment. Very little effort displayed, spent time off task, did not follow directions or tutorials provided.
F: No attendance or no project submitted at the time of grading.
I: You need to submit or resubmit a project. If you do not understand why it needs to be resubmitted ask Mr. Hanson.
